Apunkalypse

A while ago I was working on designer T-shirt designs. The project fizzled out but I was recently reminded of it(via a formspring question by Amber Love), so I thought I'd post my dead design.

This was called Pestilence.
I was going to do War, Famine, Plague, etc.
The first one is the back and the other 2 are 2 different versions of the front.

I, Zombies versus -uh- Angels?

Does that mean Fallen Angel part of IDW's Infestation?
...well, no. not exactly. (I wish, though)

But check this out!! I, Zombie creator Chris Roberson(with Mike Allred) and award winning author and editor Lou Anders do appear in April's issue of Peter David's latest Fallen Angel mini series published by IDW.

A few weeks ago I featured Kody Chamberlain in this very same issue and I mentioned that I wanted to continue with the cameo theme of old friends in the biz. I mentioned there would be more and here they are!

I've included the page(I was forced to black out the last panel so as not to spoil anything) and a few close ups, some of which are EXTREME magnification. In this scene they play Asia Minors henchman and will be reprising these roles every time Peter calls for "Asia's hired guards" in the script.

I feel that Lou's likeness may have come out more accurate than Chris' , but I'm still satisfied with both. And besides, I can do it better the next time around.

Also, check back here in less than a month and I'll show you some cameos for issue 4 where the theme is new friends. Amber Love , Mitch Gerads and the gang from Pete's basement will make an appearance.

I did this piece a few months ago for IDW's Infestation sketchbook. I never showed it because I wanted to wait for the book to hit shelves first.
Well, I haven't been to my local comic book shop in a month so I had no idea that it had already come out until I saw this weeks ep of Pete's Basement.

Having a Sweet(s) Time with the Fallen Angel

A Sweets/Fallen Angel crossover?
...well, no. not exactly.

However Sweets creator Kody Chamberlain does appear in April's issue of Peter David's latest Fallen Angel mini series published by IDW.

From time to time, I enjoy giving real people cameos in Fallen Angel. (For example see Fallen Angel:Return of the Son and see if you can find the Vladimir Guerrero cameo). In this issue I wanted to have a theme; Old friends in the comic biz that I started out with. There will be one more cameo in this same issue of a name you know, but you'll have to wait until its in stands. Hey, I have to save a surprise or 2 once in a while.
Also, check back here next month and I'll show you some cameos for issue 4 where the theme is new friends. Amber Love and the gang from Pete's basement will make an appearance.

So I contacted Kody Chamberlain to see if he would mind the cameo and he not only said yes, but offered to send photo refs. and they were perfect!

By the way, if that gentleman refusing Kody's gift of the free drink looks familiar, that's because you've seen him in comics before. His name is Jeff and he's a comic "book extra". I actually heard about him from Kody on twitter, so I thought I'd put them together in this scene.
